The National Park Service strongly recommends making advanced ticket reservations. Reservations secured far enough in advance allow visitors to select their desired level of access, eliminating the need to wait in line to purchase tickets. There are many aggressive, unauthorized ticket sellers who will try to sell tickets to the Statue of Liberty near Battery Park in NYC. These individuals will often try to scam people through misrepresentation and over-charging. The only on-site location to purchase authorized tickets is the Statue City Cruises official ticket office inside Castle Clinton in The Battery. Plan ahead if possible, and avoid these scammers selling overpriced and/or fake tickets.

Visiting Liberty Island is one of the most rewarding experiences of any trip to New York City. The National Park Service has implemented a reservation system for over a decade. This is very different from how past generations once accessed the Statue of Liberty.

All payments (Cash, Visa, and Master Card) are accepted not including personal checks.

Lockers are located prior to entering the Statue of Liberty to all guests that have the Pedestal Reserve ticket option. Statue City Cruises is the ONLY vendor authorized to provide tickets and transportation to Liberty and Ellis Islands. No other ferry company can give you access to the Islands, monuments, and museums. Additional tickets are not needed to enter the Statue of Liberty Museum or Ellis Island National Museum of Immigration.

A limited number of wheelchairs are available for use on a first-come, first-served basis for no fee from the National Park Service. In the Fall/Winter season we suggest you dress in warm clothing and layer yourself. In severe cold weather during the winter hats, gloves, and scarfs are highly recommended.

WHERE CAN I PURCHASE TICKETS?

Will Call at Battery Park is located inside of Castle Clinton, a large round brick building in the heart of the park. Will Call at Liberty State Park is located inside the CRRNJ train terminal. But you may return to either Battery Park in New York or Liberty State Park in New Jersey. Once you disembark on your return, you will not be able to board the ferries back to your original departure location. However, you can take the Liberty Landing City Ferry between Liberty State Park in New Jersey and Battery Park City in Manhattan.

All ferry tickets include access to the Statue of Liberty Museum and the Ellis Island National Museum of Immigration. Separate reservations must be made for pedestal and crown access. Ferries provide transportation to both Liberty Island and Ellis Island. Purchasing tickets through vendors other than Statue City Cruises may result in unnecessary additional charges. Our boats run to both Liberty Island and Ellis Island; no additional ticket purchase is necessary. If time is a concern, then we strongly encourage using our Liberty State Park, New Jersey location for faster processing, boarding, convenient access and ample parking.
